HOW IT WORKS
Hello Doctor is the best option for a primary care consultation.. Imagine the following:
At 1:00 a.m. an acute sore throat awakes you, your body temperature and stuffy nose do not allow you to fall asleep. The situation worsens when you remember that in a few hours you have a major presentation to one of your most important clients.
You pick up the phone dial a number and follow the following steps:
Step 1: Call the Doctor
Access our web page through your account or call by phone to request a consultation with one of our healthcare professionals. It takes less than 10 minutes between the time you request a consultation and the time a Doctor is on the line to speak with you.
Step 2: Talk to a Doctor
A certified physician or a licensed pediatrician will review your Electronic Medical Record (EMR). He/she will then contact you, will hear your con- cerns and ask you questions. The Doctor's consultations are personalized and without time limits.
Step 3: Resolve your problem
The doctor will recommend the appropriate treatment for your condition. About 91% of our customers say that physicians of Hello Doctor have solved their problems without the need to physically see a one.
Step 4: Smile
At the end of each call, the doctor will ask you if he/she answered all your questions, and the company will follow up to make sure that you are satisfied with the service. With your permission, you will receive a record of your meeting with the doctor.
Network Physicians providing medical consultations for Hello Doctor members may offer prescriptions* at their discretion for a wide range of products that deliver direct medicinal value.
These include, but are not limited to, drug classes such as antibiotics and antihistamines. Convenience prescriptions for maintenance medicines may also be obtained in cases where a member is in transition to a new insurance plan or doctor.
There is no guarantee that a prescription will be issued on any medical consultation and prescriptions will only be issued if the physician is able to gather the appropriate information to accurately diagnose and treat a given condition. Physicians will refer patients to their primary care physician or appropriate level of care when indicated.
In the event a physician does prescribe medication, he/she will usually limit the supply to no more than thirty days. Patients with chronic illnesses should visit their primary care physicians or other specialists for extended care.
*Hello Doctor's network physicians do not issue prescriptions for substances regulated by the DEA, those used for a non-therapeutic purpose, and/or those substances which may be harmful (potential for abuse or addiction).
